Kasthuis is born where two worlds meet: the weather-worn Southern pasture and the disciplined urban fruitière. Every element—texture, tone, light, language—honors heritage while embracing the modern craft of cheesemaking.

A new artisan cheese shop needed more than shelves and labels. The vision was clear—to honor Southern cheesemaking heritage while creating something modern, intentional, and alive—but there was no brand to bring it to life.

Borrowing from the sectional geometry of cheese, the shapes are rendered as clean, urban, dynamic forms, while the monogram mark is minimal and rooted in place. Inside this concept shoppe, cheese is spoken of like wine or music—through stories of farms, caves, climates, and makers. The space feels more bar or gallery than shop: quiet, cinematic, intentional, alive with slow transformation.

Kasthuis launched with a brand that feels refined yet grounded—luxury with dirt under its nails. The identity gives the shoppe a clear voice and presence, turning each visit into an experience that honors both heritage and craft. The experience moves at the rhythm of fermentation—patient, grounded, unhurried. Every cheese carries meaning. Each wheel is a protagonist; each label, a note from maker to guest.

BRAND STORY

Triangular Motif- echoes the silhouette of cheese without feeling literal. Both architectural and organic, referencing the angular cuts of aged wheels and the sharp lines of an urban fruitière.

Foiled Gold- reflects a quiet sense of ceremony.
Together, the story feels refined yet grounded—luxury with dirt under its nails.
